H 6" (14 cm) Diameter 11.5" (30 cm), on custom stand

A very early period and important Chinese pottery bowl obtained from a private collection in Hong Kong. It is skillfully potted pale orange pottery and has a well balanced wide low round from with a rounded base. The body tapers gracefully to the edge of a wide mouth with the exterior and interior finely burnished. Good patina of age and exposure with a thick layer of encrustation. Minor damages and flaws expected are expected in these early period pieces.
